THE RETRIEVAL - 30/7/54: The first ever photo taken of the object, moments after it was raised from the seafloor. The photographer noted that it appeared to reflect everything but him.
THE RETRIEVAL - 31/7/54: USS Aeolus alongside the object. Tests to determine its origin and purpose began immediately.
THE RETRIEVAL - 01/8/54: Tests return no results. Due to incoming storms, the decision is made to bring the sphere ashore.
