FUTURISTIC Funk from THE 51 st CENTURY!

About Me

Infinity Alexander - Architect of Fun!

Hi, my name's Infinity and I'm the architect of fun! I've been making things online since the age of 11, all with the same goal of providing an escape for people from their day-to-day reality. From successful video games cultivating a passionate online community to music, YouTube, filmmaking and more, I guess there's no 'one way' to describe what I do. :)

From a young age I've been infatuated by the 1970s, a decade defined by its glitzy creativity and experimentation at a time of great uncertainty. I started collecting anything and everything I could from the era from the age of 9, starting with a Goblin Teasmade I picked up for 50p in a crowded jumble sale I used to frequent with my Grandma on Saturday mornings. I now have 26 Teasmades and two very tolerant parents! Having found out about the hippie movement at a young age, namely Ken Kesey and his merry band of pranksters, I was thoroughly hooked by their ideals and the nomadic lifestyle, often thinking more about living on the road than paying attention to my addition and subtraction in school. As a result, I'm now 26 and live almost full-time in a beige Renault Trafic campervan from 1990, modified inside to be accurate to the 1970s (shag carpet, Smash and all). I now travel in the warmer months, completely immersed, without any modern technology.

Much like the 1970s, Silvrr Starr is wild, fun, unapologetic and experimental. The defining factor about that era and the 20 years preceding it is that once a genre of music became tastelessly stale, there was a new polar opposite ready to try something new. Top Of The Pops used to showcase whatever was popular in the charts at the time... no matter the style. Though the show runners no-doubt tried their best to sequence everything into a smooth listening experience for the casual viewer, the truth is you could be listening to the gentle, bassy vocals of Barry White one second and then get SMACKED in the face by the wah-ing opening of 'Traveler in Time' by Uriah Heep! As the 2020s drag on, we're crying out for some of that variation to make us feel excited or optimistic about our future again, but most will opt to look back rather than look forward. Nostalgia and the familiar is beyond over-saturated at this point and many agree that we're in a coma-like period of stagnation. In this spirit, I hope Silvrr Starr answers that call... using the nostalgic looks and showmanship of the past while always remaining laser-focused on moving into the future. He's not preachy or revolutionary, just a ticket to escape. Much like the old internet this website is based on, we're at our best when we're creating for fun, out of passion, not for monetary gain. Not everything has to be sleek, grey and conform to the norm. So if you love the freakish funk of the past, paired with a hopeful message about the future and a little story to boot, I think Silvrr Starr might be up your alley! <3
